Delimitation Bill | Supriya Sule Rules Out Joining NDA Ahead Of Monsoon Session

Is Sharad Pawar's NCP warming up to the Centre on the contentious delimitation bill that was defeated in Parliament in April after the government failed to muster two-thirds majority support?

Party MP and Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule on Wednesday hinted that NCP (SP) may support the bill if the government introduces a significant amendment to increase Lok Sabha and Assembly seats across states by 50 percent.

"Give the 50 percent condition on paper, then we will discuss," Sule said at a press conference.

Sule also revealed that she attended an all-party meeting called by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju to discuss the bill, which was also attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

She claimed the government has a proposal to include the 50% cap in the bill.

"The bill is still not with us. I can't speak on the bill unless it is with us," she said.

तेलंगाना में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ एसीबी की बड़ी कार्रवाई देखने को मिली है. हैदराबाद डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी यानी HMDA के चीफ इंजीनियर के घर और दफ्तर पर रेड की गई. ACB ने अधिकारी के ऑफिस, रिश्तेदारों, सहयोगियों और कथित बेनामीदारों से जुड़ी कुल 9 जगहों पर एक साथ छापेमारी की. इस दौरान भारी मात्रा में नकदी, दस्तावेज और संपत्ति से जुड़े कागजात बरामद किए गए.
एसीबी के मुताबिक, अभी तक जब्त की गई संपत्ति की सरकारी कीमत 9 करोड़ रुपये से ज्यादा है. लेकिन जांच एजेंसी का कहना है कि अचल संपत्ति की बाजार कीमत इससे कई गुना ज्यादा हो सकती है. अनुमान है कि पूरी संपत्ति लगभग 100 करोड़ रुपये की हो सकती है. कार्रवाई के बाद एसीबी और पुलिस ने चीफ इंजीनियर को तुरंत गिरफ्तार कर लिया. उन्हें स्पेशल जज की अदालत में पेश किया गया. टीमें पूरे मामले में अभी भी एक्शन मोड में हैं और आगे की जांच जारी है. पुलिस, इंजीनियर के रिश्तेदारों, सहयोगियों और बेनामी संपत्तियों के लिंक भी खंगाल रही है. तेलंगाना सरकार ने इस रेड को भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ जीरो टॉलरेंस नीति का हिस्सा बताया है. फिलहाल मामले में और गिरफ्तारियां और खुलासे होने की संभावना है.
