IIT में पढ़ने का सपना हर इंजीनियरिंग छात्र का होता है, लेकिन यहां एक छात्र की मौत ने सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं. 20 साल का साहिल महाराष्ट्र के यवतमाल का रहने वाला था, IIT Bombay के एनर्जी साइंस एंड इंजीनियरिंग विभाग में BTech कर रहा था. परिवार के मुताबिक, बचपन से होशियार, हर क्लास में फर्स्ट, पिता रविन्द्र बैंककर्मी मां टीचर, पूर्व राष्ट्रपति डॉ एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम से प्रेरित देश के लिए कुछ बड़ा करने का सपना. 18 सितंबर को IIT Campus के हॉस्टल में उसकी मौत हुई. परिवार का कहना है कि डीन और Professor Suryanarayan Doola पर FIR कराई. आरोप है कि 3 महीने से प्रताड़ित कर रहे थे, उनके कहने पर और शिक्षक भी परेशान कर रहे थे, संस्थान में गालियां और जाति सूचक शब्दों का इस्तेमाल हुआ. पुलिस ने SC/ST एक्ट की धाराएं जोड़ीं. मुंबई क्राइम ब्रांच जांच कर रही है, परिजन CBI जांच मांग रहे हैं.
