Sushmita Dev Resigns As Rajya Sabha MP, Quits TMC

Another Trinamool Rajya Sabha MP, Sushmita Dev, resigned from all party posts, making it the second Rajya Sabha MP from the party to do so this week.

And this is only the third day of the week.

The 53-year-old leader, who crossed over from the Congress, joined the Trinamool in 2021, and spoke about starting a "new chapter of public service". 

On Monday, veteran Trinamool leader and Rajya Sabha member Sukhendu Sekhar Ray announced his resignation from both the Parliament and the party.

In a press statement, Roy also launched a scathing attack against the Trinamool and its 15-year government in Bengal.

गुजरात के वडोदरा से चोरी का एक बेहद हैरान करने वाला मामला सामने आया है. यहाँ रेसकोर्स इलाके स्थित एक हाई-प्रोफाइल ज्वेलरी शोरूम में ग्राहक बनकर आई एक महिला ने लाखों के सोने और हीरे के गहने चुराने की कोशिश की. इस महिला ने चोरी का ऐसा अजीबोगरीब तरीका अपनाया जिसे देखकर हर कोई दंग रह गया. शोरूम स्टाफ को अपनी बातों में उलझाकर इस शातिर महिला ने सोने-हीरे की ईयररिंग्स और एक कीमती अंगूठी चुपके से अपने मुंह में छिपा ली.

हालांकि, उसकी यह चालाकी ज्यादा देर नहीं चल पाई. महिला की संदिग्ध गतिविधियों को देखकर स्टाफ को शक हुआ. जब गहनों का मिलान किया गया और महिला से सख्ती से पूछताछ हुई, तो उसके मुंह से चोरी किए गए सारे गहने बरामद हो गए. रंगे हाथों पकड़े जाने पर हाई-प्रोफाइल दिखने वाली यह महिला स्टाफ के पैरों में गिरकर गिड़गिड़ाने और माफी मांगने लगी.

यह पूरी घटना शोरूम के CCTV कैमरों में कैद हो गई है. बाद में मीडिया के कैमरों को देखकर भी महिला अपना चेहरा छिपाती नजर आई. सूचना मिलने पर पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और उसे हिरासत में ले लिया, लेकिन शोरूम मालिकों की तरफ से कोई आधिकारिक शिकायत (FIR) दर्ज न कराए जाने के कारण पुलिस को उसे छोड़ना पड़ा.
